The National Ozone Unit (NOU) implements the Montreal Protocol in Somalia — licensing imports of ozone-depleting substances and HFCs, training refrigeration technicians and reporting national consumption.

1. 1

   Register as an importer

   Apply to the NOU with your company documents.

2. 2

   Request an import licence

   Submit quantities and substance types for the licence period, within the national quota.

3. 3

   Clearance at customs

   Present your licence at customs; shipments are checked against it.

4. 4

   Report

   Report annual imports to the NOU for Article 7 reporting.
