The Federal Government has committed to a national climate change adaptation planning framework to guide future adaptation policies and projects. The project tackles weak institutional coordination, limited technical and managerial capacity for adaptation planning at federal and state level, and the lack of investment planning. Somalia submitted its National Adaptation Plan to the UNFCCC in November 2025.
